Imagination Traveler
Writing blogs for two river cruise companies is both challenging and fun. It certainly allows me to exercise my creating writing muscles. While not every topic lends itself to storytelling, there are some that allow me to imagine myself as one of the travelers, relating a first-hand experience. This is what my client wants – to generate excitement by bringing the reader along on the journey. Creating stories is the fun part. What is challenging is doing enough research to accurately describe what a person taking that tour might actually experience.
My only problem is that I imagine it so well that it really makes me want to be there. Perhaps someday a client will actually send me on one of these trips. Meanwhile, I will have to live vicariously through these flights of fancy, traveling in my imagination. Hey, guess what happened during my African safari?
